(Not) Want to Be the Next Reality Star?!
My brother David – who is a writer for the New York Times – recently wrote a piece about a new reality show, tentatively titled “Silicon Valley,” to air later this year on Bravo.
The article brings up an interesting point about our society’s love-hate relationship with reality television. While millions audition every year for shows like American Idol, The Bachelor and The Real Housewives of…, there are others out there staunchly resisting the infiltration of reality television into their world. Some worry their world will be falsely portrayed to the masses, others don’t want to air every detail of their business and personal lives to the world, and some just worry it could hurt their reputation.
So what happens when the cameras finally make their way inside? Guess we’ll find out this winter!
