AMS PICTURES COMPLETES TUSKEGEE AIRMEN TRILOGY

DALLAS, TX  — AMS Pictures releases its newest documentary, A Defining Moment, for sale to the public this month. The documentary completes the company’s Tuskegee Trilogy, which also includes Flying For Freedom and Resurrecting Moton Field.

Overcoming the history of racism and legacy of inequality, four men from across the nation make the journey to witness first-hand what they never dared to dream. In the twilight of their lives they travel to the nation’s capital to see the fulfillment of the struggle for equal rights and a place in society that they began in a rural Alabama field over sixty years ago.

This one-hour documentary records the journey of these men and captures, in their own words, the heartache and humiliation of racism and disappointments in post-WWII America contrasted with the swearing-in of the country’s first African-American President of the United States.

“Creating A Defining Moment was a bittersweet and wonderful closing to our trilogy of Tuskegee Airmen films,” says Producer/Director Tom Rubeck. “We determined that this story would show more of what their lives were like after their famed time during World War II, answering the question of ‘What happened with these men as their lives went on?'”

Monika Watkins, who produced and directed the film along with Mr. Rubeck, attests to its inspirational message, “This is a documentary about hope and integrity. The four men in this story represent a group whose contribution to this country was so meaningful that it led to an event some sixty years later that will be remembered as one of the great moments in the history of the United States of America. We are honored to share this personal story about the Tuskegee Airmen and their special invitation to Barack Obama’s presidential inauguration.”
